Private audience measurement
Solar WAVE uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visits, traffic sources, pages viewed, device types, engagement, and returning use. The reporting dashboard is private to the site owner; no public hit counter is displayed. Analytics identifiers are not used by Solar WAVE to request names, email addresses, callsigns, precise location, or other directly identifying information.
Notifications
The installed app asks permission before enabling flare and CME notifications. Permission can be changed at any time in iOS, Android, or browser settings. Modeled arrival notifications are informational and must not replace official safety alerts.
External sources
The site loads official imagery and data from agencies including NASA, NOAA, NWS, NHC, and USGS, and links to independent radio, video, and equipment providers. Those services apply their own privacy and availability policies.
Your controls
You can limit analytics with browser privacy controls, content blockers, or cookie restrictions. You can remove the installed web app or native app and revoke notifications through device settings.
